Display Panel

PanelDisplay

This panel configures how the emulated Amiga screen is rendered on your host display.

Screen Settings

Screen Mode

  • Windowed: Runs in a resizable window (Linux/macOS desktop only).
  • Fullscreen: Switches the host resolution to match the emulated one (if possible).
  • Full-window: (Recommended) Uses the host's current resolution and scales the image to fill the screen.

Resolution & Scaling

  • Width / Height: Manually set the output size (for Windowed/Manual Crop modes).
  • Manual Crop: Enable to manually adjust the visible area of the emulated screen.
  • Auto Crop: Attempts to detect and crop black borders automatically. Useful for games that don't use the full screen area.
  • Borderless: Removes window decorations (Title bar, borders) in Windowed mode.
  • Correct Aspect Ratio: Preserves the 4:3 Amiga aspect ratio. If disabled, the image stretches to fill the screen.

Scaling Method

Determines how the image is upscaled to fit the host screen:

  • Auto: Chooses between Pixelated or Smooth based on the target size.
  • Pixelated: Nearest-neighbor scaling (sharp pixels).
  • Smooth: Linear interpolation (softer look).
  • Integer: Integer scaling (perfect pixels, may leave black borders).

Emulation Settings

  • VSync: Synchronizes emulation to the host monitor refresh rate to prevent tearing.
  • Refresh: Controls "Frame Skipping".
    • Disabled: Draws every frame (50/60 FPS).
    • Enabled: Draws every 2nd frame.
  • Blacker than black: Gamma boost for black areas (darker borders).
  • Remove interlace artifacts: De-interlacing filter to reduce flickering in Interlaced modes.

Line Mode

Controls how Amiga scanlines are rendered.

  • Single: Draws single lines. Stretches vertically to fill gaps.
  • Double: Draws every line twice. Better quality, higher requirement.
  • Scanlines: Simulates CRT scanlines by darkening every other line.
