democratic

Every ThankToken is created by the participating people as universal income. This ensures that the power over value lies in the hand of the entire people rather than only few mighty ones such as banks or governments that are easy to corrupt.

As we all know humans have a tendency for egoism, the universal income does not only include person income. Additionally there is also community income. This values is not owned by the people creating it but is value that has to be earned in order to become regular possession what applies to strict rules.

People can transfer their generated community income directly to the voted governments. However, everybody is also allowed to transfer up to 80% of the value from these sources directly to certified projects (similar to participating in crowd funding). This way you can decide to give your community income to the new school, the library, the village square, the road construction, or what ever project is available that suits you best. So everyone can be a little politician and take influence. In case a project gets "over-funded" the overrun flows back to the government. If you do not want to take your time for such choices you can of course directly transfer the value to the government and let them decide what is best. The higher the trust in the government the more value and decision power will be given to them. If they get corrupt or do the wrong choices people will take the decisions themselves. Due to the public ledger every flow of value is public and can be observed by everyone. The 20% of the community income that are guaranteed to be spend by the government ensure that also projects that might not trackle a majority (such as investments for accessibility) can still be funded.

We are convinced that this will lead to a real democracy leading to better and more representive decisions.
