Configuration

Make sure the plugin is installed, payment method is activated in your Better Payment dashboard as well as in the WooCommerce plugin settings under Payments.

Make sure you have completed onboarding with our onboarding team. This is a managed Google Pay solution, where you do not need to create or maintain encryption certificates.

Payment Flow

Once the customers reach your checkout page and click on the Google Pay button, they will be prompted with Google Pay screen and once paid, will be redirected to success page.

In case of a failure, customer will stay on the same page.

Google Pay button is also available for express payments without visiting the checkout page.

What to consider?

This payment method is ONLY available in block based checkouts. Legacy checkouts do not support express payment methods.

Refunds are supported for completed payments just like for other payment methods.

Test data

You will have to have an Android device, setup with Google Pay with a valid card added to the wallet from list mentioned at https://developers.google.com/pay/api/android/guides/resources/test-card-suite.
