They both take for input an RDF term and return an RDF term or an error. Errors from the argument are propagated, just like other functions

Looks OK to me.

Out of curiosity – I don't recall why we decided to introduce a new logical-not and move away from fn:not. Do you recall if this was a change for consistency, or if there were semantic issues?
