A hands-on Windows Server 2022 project demonstrating Enterprise File Server Administration using Active Directory, NTFS Permissions, SMB Shares, and File Server Resource Manager (FSRM).
In this project, I designed and implemented an Enterprise File Server environment using Windows Server 2022 to simulate how organizations securely manage departmental data.
The objective was to build a centralized file management solution where users can access resources based on their roles while administrators can control permissions, manage storage usage, enforce security policies, and monitor file activities.
This project goes beyond basic file sharing by implementing enterprise-level file management features used in real-world IT environments.
- Build an enterprise file server infrastructure
- Configure secure departmental file sharing
- Implement Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
- Manage permissions using Active Directory Security Groups
- Configure NTFS and SMB Share Permissions
- Control storage usage using FSRM quotas
- Restrict unauthorized file types
- Automate file classification
- Generate storage monitoring reports
