What is the latest release?

Hi,

On npmjs there is a 9.0.0 version (that came to me through renovate, whereas on github the latest release is 6.X.X (but there is a 9.0.0 tag).

Is the 9.0.0 ready to use? If so, could there be some release notes? (there are apparently breaking changes).

Looks like the new maintainer tried to publish v7, but that got skipped, and v8 was accidentally published without code.

This version was published without source by accident, please use version 9.0.0
