Attempting to use webcam disconnects me from voice calls on Linux

What happened?

I was in a voice call and anytime I try to use my laptop's inbuilt webcam, it will work for maybe a single second before just disconnecting me from the call. I tried both the stoat web client and the AppImage with the same result. For stoat desktop I am using the AppImage. My laptop is a Framework laptop.
