I never run or download installers when there is a zip available. Typically the maximum effort you have to do on top on unpacking the archive is to add the folder to PATH, which takes about 10 seconds.
Please be kind and add a portable non-exe option for people like us that prefer clear way to use software without hidden installer changes. And if such changes are required either remove them, or provide a readme that explains what the user has to do, to make it run.
