Bouvet / Sesam Management Studio - Lead Frontend Engineer (Jan 2025 - present)

A complex data synchronization and integration platform running on Microsoft Azure, acting as a data hub between all customer systems and handling all master data. My responsibilities include:

Bouvet - Sesam VS Code Extension (Mar 2026 - present)

A full-featured VS Code extension for the Sesam integration platform built as a TypeScript monorepo (sesam-ts) with three packages: @sesam/core, @sesam/cli, and the VS Code extension itself. Architected using Language Server Protocol (LSP).

Key features delivered:

• DTL language support: syntax highlighting for ~160 built-in DTL functions, autocomplete with signatures and documentation, hover documentation, real-time linting with quick fixes
• Code navigation: go-to-definition, find all references, rename rules, cross-file navigation
• Configuration completion: intelligent suggestions for pipe, system, and source configurations
• Node integration: upload, download, and run pipes directly from VS Code; live real-time updates via Socket.IO
• Sync status and diff view: git-like visualization of differences between local configs and the Sesam node
• Credential management: secure storage via VS Code SecretStorage API with multi-environment support
• Test management: VS Code Testing API integration with green/red inline results
• GitHub Copilot @sesam-agent chat participant

Bouvet - Vibe Coding in the Frontend (Apr 2026 - present)

Designed and developed a 4-day AI-assisted development workshop for frontend developers using GitHub Copilot as the primary tool. 11 modules covering the full development lifecycle - from planning and scaffolding to implementation, testing, and debugging. Includes dedicated modules on security (OWASP Top 10, secrets handling, trust boundaries), GitHub Actions CI/CD, and agentic workflows.

Cloud-based plug-and-play data synchronization service between SaaS systems built on the Sesam Hub integration platform. Built with TypeScript, React, React Query, and Material UI. Defined architecture and design, mentored the frontend team, led weekly frontend reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Built a WebRTC-based video conferencing web app from scratch using React and TypeScript. Led frontend architecture and design system development (Figma, SCSS, Storybook). Implemented: WebRTC, WebSockets, SignalR, i18n localization, WCAG accessibility, automated testing with Jest, Cypress, Playwright, and Chromatic visual testing.

BIM collaboration platform for architecture, engineering, and construction. Led migration from a legacy PHP app to a modern React/Redux SPA. Introduced functional programming principles, SCSS modular CSS architecture, Storybook, Jest unit testing, and Cypress E2E testing. Led frontend workshops on advanced Redux, React Hooks, and testing strategies.

Frontend Tech Lead for a Static Application Security Testing on-premise enterprise application. Created and led the "CX FED" initiative including an open-source shared React component library (@checkmarx/cx-ui), established CI/CD workflows and deployment pipelines, and led monthly knowledge-sharing sessions on functional programming, React, Redux, MobX, and frontend testing.

Team Lead and Senior Fullstack Developer for one of the world's largest online lottery services. Led a team of three developers, performed code reviews, contributed to architecture decisions, led migration to MVC and AngularJS, and organized weekly internal training sessions as Training Lead.
