About the project
wave-mcp-viewer-assets packages the prebuilt artifacts of the Surfer waveform viewer (EUPL-1.2) for wave-mcp, an MIT-licensed MCP server for RTL waveform analysis and debugging: a statically linked surver binary and the Surfer WASM bundle. It is installed through the wave-mcp[viewer] extra and serves the interactive waveform view.
Release 0.25.6.post1 on PyPI is currently a slim wheel (9.4 MB) that ships the dependency notices and inventories. The complete wheel additionally carries the license texts and corresponding source archives required for the components we redistribute (about 1,300 license texts and 700 source archives), which brings it to 139 MiB (146 MB).
Reasons for the request
To satisfy the license and source-availability requirements for the redistributed viewer components, the complete wheel embeds the notices and corresponding source archives for the pinned dependency set. At 139 MiB it exceeds the default 100 MiB per-file limit.
We currently publish the slim wheel on PyPI and attach the complete wheel to our GitHub releases. A 150 MB file limit would let us also publish the self-contained wheel on PyPI, so users in air-gapped environments (a common case for our audience) can obtain the complete package from a single source. The slim wheel and the complete wheel are both under the requested limit.
