@dupondje the PR LGTM (with overlaps with other doco), however, @andresmmujica would you be willing to work with me to merge some of this content into the main documentation (which is in need of updates). ie rather than letting the real documentation rot and creating smaller current documents it makes sense to me to ensure the main documentation is correct and current. It's better for our users :-)
