๐Ÿ‘‹ Hey, I'm Miguel

I'm a Computer Science student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign interested in applied AI/ML, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure.

Currently, I'm:

  • ๐Ÿค– Engineering cloud-based, sandboxed coding agents for course development and analytics at PrairieLearn
  • ๐Ÿ”ฌ Researching agentic approaches to LLM inference and GPU cluster optimization at UIUC SSAIL
  • โš™๏ธ Creating OptiTrain, an open-source distributed LLM training and inference system

Previously, I built multi-agent systems at Adobe, vision-LLM grading infrastructure at PrairieLearn, and computer vision systems through Google Summer of Code.

I'm always happy to connect! Feel free to reach out about projects, research, or opportunities.
