#1082 was closed as completed without explanation, but there is no evidence in the docs or in the current config file that unix sockets are currently available. After some personal digging, it is my understanding that unix sockets have been available for some time since the go rewrite.
For users like @VityaSchel, @VlaDexa (and myself) who seemed to be waiting for the feature, it would be nice to document the exact format expected by the yaml conf for unix domain connections.
