This PR is brining in a build from the wrong channel (10.0.1xx instead of 11.0.1xx). @hoyosjs can you please close it?

In that case we'd have to:

  • Configured diagnostics main forward flow to go to VMR release/10.0.1.xx
  • Configure the backflow from the VMRs release/10.0.1xx to go to diagnostics main
  • The diagnostics inside of the VMR main wouldn't get updated

Does this sound like something we'd want to do?

Would it be better if we created release branches like the other repos in the VMR instead? That's probably the scheme we need to adopt to make things sane.

I think doing this in all of the VMR repos was one of the Unified Build project goals, making it so all repos make changes like this at the same time.
We just talked about this on the Unified Build sync meeting and decided that it might be best to discuss this with Matt Mitchel next week, and in the mean time, configure diagnostics and other repos like it to forward flow and receive backflows from VMR release/10.0.1xx

As long as it's not hard to unravel, I'm ok with this as a temporary measure.

@dkurepa @steveisok in general diagnostics has a single release branch. Our support statement is grab latest. We can't take 11 assets this early in the cycle. For now we'll likely need 10 in the sense that need an SDK that's more stable.

@hoyosjs we can all discuss further when you're back. We aren't taking anything from main right now.
