This is just a draft PR to confirm that the changes introduced in the following two branches/commits are the only things that are included in this branch (changes for both branches were each squashed into one commit when these were originally merged).
This branch was made off of commit a6108f611ab795af94e9a892e52189dce99b36dd, the commit just before the old content was reintroduced to main
