A bug in the softprops/action-gh-release@2.5.0 GH action made our CI fail to upload all assets to the v2.0.2 GH release. The main purpose of this PR is to drop the usage of this GH action and use the GitHub CLI directly.

Besides this initial motivation, this PR also:

  • Adds release versions to asset filenames.
-cartesi-rollups-prt-contract-artifacts.tar.gz
+cartesi-rollups-prt-2.0.2-contract-artifacts.tar.gz
  • Simplifies node bundle filenames.
-cartesi-rollups-prt-2.0.2-node-Linux-gnu-arm64.tar.gz
+cartesi-rollups-prt-2.0.2-node-arm64.tar.gz
  • Removes README and CHANGELOG files from node bundles.
 cartesi-rollups-prt-node
-README.md
-CHANGELOG.md
  • Stops generating and uploading SHA-256 files.

PS: This gh release upload command is already being used in the cartesi/rollups-contracts repoistory and was tested in an alpha release. See GH workflow source code.

LGTM!

Let's have @endersonmaia take a look too (in particular the new names) since he's the one who is using the artifacts.

It's an easy fix on the deployment side, and there are updates to be made on the honeypot repo.

I'll create PRs on respective repositories when this PR is merged.
