Centuries ago, a "wright" was a master maker — an artisan with a deep, tactile relationship with their materials. Today, the materials of construction are data and code. Yet modern AEC professionals often find themselves trapped in "walled gardens," forced to use bloated, black-box software that obscures the true art of the discipline.
bimwright exists to reclaim the ethos of the artisan. We are not just software vendors; we are craftsmen of logic. By hand-forging open, precise Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, we build the vital bridges that allow heavy-duty AEC applications to reason and operate with modern AI.
We believe in doing BIM the "right" way — transparent, focused, and deliberately designed for the practitioner. We put control back into the hands of the architects and engineers who actually design the world.
bimwright. Built right.
- rvt-mcp — MCP gateway for Autodesk® Revit® 2022–2027. Expose the Revit API as AI-callable tools with progressive disclosure (toolset gating), transaction-safe batch execution, and a ToolBaker self-evolution engine.
- dwg-mcp — MCP gateway for Autodesk® AutoCAD® 2022–2027. Read drawing text, cluster spatial fragments, rewrite translations in place, and run audited code through one reversible workflow.
- nwd-mcp — MCP gateway for Autodesk® Navisworks® Manage 2022–2027. Query, inspect, and navigate federated coordination models for clash review, secured with loopback-only TCP and per-session tokens.
- ipt-mcp — MCP gateway for Autodesk® Inventor® 2022–2027. Drive parametric part/sketch/feature modeling, parameters, and iProperties as AI-callable tools across a pure-C# multi-version add-in stack.
- bim-wiki — Vietnamese-first BIM knowledge base: ISO 19650 + the Vietnamese regulatory landscape (QĐ 347/348/1057/2500, Luật 60/2024, Nghị định 111/2024/175/2024). CC-BY-SA 4.0.
A shared architectural pattern runs through the whole <ext>-mcp family: predictable, auditable, reversible. If you're thinking of building one of these under a similar name, please reach out first — we'd rather collaborate than fragment.
