If recent runtimes are installed (18.4, possibly 18.3.1), xcodes can no longer list (or install?) runtimes.

Resolves #421

Looks like it's still happening:

% xcodes version
1.6.1

% xcodes runtimes

@herval It seems Apple went and added a new kind yesterday: Patchable Cryptex Disk Image
