The legal research locked us into self-hosted architecture. Now we need to solve the BTCPay Server problem: self-hosting is powerful but intimidating. 8 research areas covering home node platforms (Umbrel/ Start9), cloud marketplace buttons, BTCPay deployment lessons, managed self-hosting model, desktop/mobile management, DNS friction, operational resilience, and competitive UX benchmarking. Core question: how do you give a non-technical merchant the experience of "download an app, start accepting Bitcoin" when the architecture requires them to run their own server?
