Minecraft Launchers

NOTE: Almost all of these launchers require you to buy a Minecraft account. Also, each of the launchers linked have a tutorial on how to download and configure them.

Minecraft launchers I have personally used or I am using

  • MultiMC - Using. The framework is more for people who are into programming, but is still able to be used by anyone. Doesn't require you to buy before hand, in other words, a free download, but you must have a Minecraft account.

  • Minecraft Launcher - Used. Pretty easy to understand and figure out what buttons do what and isn't confusing, making it accessible for anyone. The link I gave is to a direct download of the launcher itself, but once again you must have a Minecraft account if you want to use the full access of Minecraft. This launcher allows you to play a trial version to help you understand the game, and after you get a Minecraft account, you'll be able to use the same launcher to play the full version of Minecraft.

  • Lunar Client - Used. Once again, pretty easy to navigate and figure out what buttons do what. This launcher also allows you to pick what addons you want to use in the world/server. This launcher is quite popular for those who grind and play Hypixel all day everyday.

  • TLauncher - Used. Whilst I used this launcher, it was pretty confusing to navigate and configure. But, overall was quite a useful launcher as it had the capability to create an account on the launchers website and the user wouldn't have to worry about buying a Minecraft account from the official website. From what I can see from the main page of the website, you are able to play on both your phone (pocket edition of Minecraft) and computer.

  • CurseForge Launcher - Used. Since the launcher was directly from the famous CurseForge website, it was quite easy to download mods and modpacks but navigating the launcher was quite confusing. Also, the way to startup the launcher was more confusing than it needed to be.

Minecraft launchers that are either popular or known to the Minecraft community

  • ATLauncher - I have not used this launcher, but from the description, it allows you to play with different Modpacks (packages that have mods that are all compatible with each other and easier for adventurous players) and install Modpacks from websites like CurseForge, Modrinth, and Technic.

  • Prism Launcher - I have not used this launcher, but from what I can see from the main page, this launcher is somewhat like ATLauncher, CurseForge Launcher, and TLauncher.

The ones I've listed are ones you can try out for yourself and see which one you like the most and recommend to others. But, at the end of the day, these are just my opinions, so don't just follow my word and do that research for yourself. Overall, there are probably tons and tons of Minecraft launchers out there that are currently in development/or so few people use them that no one yet knows of their existence.
