kacho-vpc provides a private network connection for your personal computer. This software allows you to reach network resources as if you were sitting inside a private office or home network. It creates a tunnel that protects your data while it travels across the internet.
To start using this software, you need to download the correct file for Windows.

Once the download finishes, follow these steps to install the program:

The application does not open Restart your computer. Sometimes, background tasks hang during an installation. A restart clears these tasks. If the issue remains, right-click the icon and choose "Run as administrator".
My internet feels slow while connected A private network tunnel adds security, which can impact speed. This is normal. Your data must travel to a central server before reaching the open internet. Close other background programs that use your network to improve performance.
kacho-vpc uses industry-standard encryption to scramble your data while in transit. This prevents outside parties from reading your traffic. The application does not track your browsing history. It only manages the connection between your computer and the private network.
We recommend that you keep the application updated to the latest version. New versions often contain security improvements and fixes. Check the download page every month to see if a newer version is available. You do not need to uninstall the old version to update; simply run the new installer over the existing one.
The main window shows three main items:
- Status Light: This shows grey when you are disconnected and green when the tunnel is active.
- Address Bar: This is where you put the location of the private network.
- Settings Menu: Click the gear icon to change connection preferences or view logs. You only need to touch these settings if a professional asks you to change them.
Most users do not need to alter configuration files. The default settings permit the software to find paths to your network automatically. If you work in a corporate environment, your IT team might give you a specific configuration file. You can import this file by clicking "File" then "Import Profile" within the application.
If you cannot solve a problem, reach out to your system administrator. They manage the server that this application talks to. They see the logs on their side and can tell you if your account has access to the network. Provide them with your version number, which you can find by clicking "Help" then "About" in the application menu.
