Fire Recovery Companion - For Wildfires in Los Angeles

Overview

In the wake of devastating wildfires, residents face significant challenges in recovering lost belongings, accessing critical resources, and managing insurance claims. The Fire Recovery Companion is a web application designed to streamline the recovery process by providing centralized tools for tracking, analytics, and real-time updates.

This project highlights expertise in data analytics, full-stack web development, and UI/UX design, demonstrating how technology can address real-world problems effectively.

1. Dashboard

A comprehensive overview of critical information, including:

  • Realtime Fire Updates: Map showcasing active fire locations.
  • Key Statistics:
    • Total Items Logged
    • Average Value Per Item
    • Total Value Claimed
    • Items Claimed (Approved)

2. Log Lost Items

A simple and intuitive form to document items lost in the fire:

    • Item Name

  • Visual List: Display items with uploaded images, categories, and estimated values.
