Valkyrie Descent Mission Template

This is a mission template for creating Descent: Journeys in the Dark (Second Edition) missions in the valkyrie mission creation tool.

If you want to create a campaign with multiple missions please check the Valkyrie Descent Campaign Template instead.

Basic Valkyrie Information

For basic information how to create content for Valkyrie please check the Valkyrie Wiki or this video series.

How to use the template

  1. To use the template you need to download it and copy the DescentMissionTemplate-folder to C:\Users{YourUsername}\AppData\Roaming\Valkyrie\D2E\Editor.
  2. Afterwards you need to select the available languages for your scenario by editing the following lines in quest.ini just add or remove the languages you plan to enable for you scenario:

Localization.English.txt
Localization.German.txt
Localization.Spanish.txt

and set the default language accordingly: e.g. defaultlanguage=German for German default language or defaultlanguage=spanish for Spanish default language or

  1. Afterwards rename the folder to a name of your choice. This is important for publishing the template later.
  2. Then all template files will appear in the template Valkyrie "Quest Editor"-menu (see image below).
