This reverts commit 8ce16e2.

The commit says:

The current scaling setup is quite exotic, not sure why I did it that way, let's switch to the standard: projection in physical cords, and scale in the vertex shader setup.

Now I know why I was doing it the exotic way, the new solution causes this rendering issue:
