Personally I think we should only include songs that were specifically made for cubyz. |
|
Why is that? I think these songs fit. |

I think cubyz music is best when its made with a specific environment in mind, otherwise they don't feel as immersive. As you said: I guess I shouldn't say "never use tracks not made for cubyz," but more "be more strict with songs not made for cubyz" Contradiction, Theme 1, and youll live don't make me envision a particular environment, they just feel like generic electronic tracks. (not to say they're bad. they aren't, just speaking in terms of "feeling like cubyz") Intermission features (heavily distorted) samples of speech, which i think lands under the "no diagetic sounds" rule. Wake Up has a similar very distorted synth, but otherwise is fine. Written is very good, this feels much more like a cubyz track to me. And the tracks made specifically for cubyz are good. |

Alright! I'll remove those ones then. |

I will argue for Contradiction though, as it has that good bounciness to it. I can also see it being used as an adventurous song like when you're travelling, or in the sky islands. |
Sure, alright. |

Is that all? |
Adds songs by Ashgrove https://quilters.bandcamp.com/
2step was modified from its original version to loop, sort of as a battle track.
Rhizome, amb211, and 2step are all original compositions made for Cubyz, while the other songs are taken from the creator's extensive list of Bandcamp music (with permission.)
