I spent 10 years as a practicing orthodontist, published clinical researcher, and dental clinic founder before teaching myself to code from scratch — no CS degree, no bootcamp. I started with Python and Django in 2019 and systematically rebuilt my entire career through self-directed learning and real-world projects.

I now work as Platform Engineer Lead at Paymob (Egypt's largest FinTech), where I led a platform overhaul that reduced total annual tech expenditure by ~20%, replaced enterprise SaaS platforms with in-house and open-source solutions, and deployed company-wide security infrastructure from scratch.

I think in first principles. I build things alone when I have to. And I ship.

• Designed and executed a platform overhaul at Paymob cutting ~20% of total annual tech spend — replaced FreshDesk, Jira, Confluence, Appgate, and more with in-house and open-source alternatives
• Architected full observability stack across AWS, Azure, OCI (Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, Tempo, Alloy, Promtail)
• Deployed company-wide privileged access management and credential hygiene from zero
• Rolled out AI-assisted development tooling (Claude Code) across an entire engineering organization

• Built a custom agentic AI engine for Solvait Wise — multi-step LLM function-calling chains that autonomously generate company-wide OKRs, assign employee goals, and produce strategic execution plans
• Built before LangChain or mainstream agentic frameworks existed — now commercially deployed across the Gulf

• CyberTooth (cybertooth.app) — Award-winning SaaS for dental clinic management. Winner: NilePreneurs / Central Bank of Egypt SaaS Prize 2021. Serves tens of clinics and thousands of patients. Built solo: web platform, mobile app, backend, infrastructure, CI/CD, and the business.

• Campus Carbon (campus-carbon.com) — Carbon footprint assessment system for universities, built for the American University in Cairo
