The current documentation describes that it is "Optional but recommended" to remove the permissions for "Domain Users" on PKCS templates. This could use some stronger wording in my opinion and an extra warning, because not doing this results in a privilege escalation opportunity where anyone in the domain can request certificates on behalf of other users (commonly known as ESC1 in the security community), leading to full domain compromise. I have added a warning to reflect this.
