Mary Immaculate Catholic Church began in May 1974 when Father Michael Devaney, Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate, was assigned to start a mission church in West Palm Beach. The first Mass was celebrated on September 26, 1974, with 56 people present.
Key Milestones:
- 1974 - First Mass celebrated at Cardinal Newman High School
- 1982 - New church dedicated on October 9
- 1994 - Pastoral care transferred to Diocese of Palm Beach
- 2002 - Father Tomasz Makowski appointed pastor (serving to present)
