Tell The Time App

GregE edited this page Jul 5, 2021 · 1 revision

Summary

Mums, dads and teachers can use this app to teach children or pupils how to tell the time from a clock face. Use this app instead of fiddling with a cardboard clock. It is always on hand (no pun intended), easy to use, and can be set up to match your child's learning level.

Latest version: 1.0, released 5th July, 2021.

Using it

Touch the clock face or digital clock to advance the time by a random amount, or drag the hands on the clock face to set a specific time.

You can set the general behaviour of the app, including:

  • What numbers are displayed.
  • Whether minute marks are displayed
  • Where the time will stop (e.g. on an hour, on a half-hour, on a quarter-hour, on a five-minute interval or on any minute)
  • The colour of the hour and minute hands.
  • The speed of the clock. We recommend that you start with the slow speed. The 'instant' speed can be used for rapid-fire testing of experts.
