Background: This product is a mobile app that aims to facilitate transaction of used office equipment in the B2B and B2C market. It was built as a solution to address the problem statement of rising environmental emissions as part of the Hackathon Challenge
Product Description
An E-Commerce app that aims to make the buying and selling of used/second-hand office equipment fair, transparent and seamless. The app also leverages AI/ML functionality for pricing and goods defect recogniton
Vision: The goal is to make transactions of used office equipment fair, transparent and seamless so that people will be comfortable in purchasing and reusing second-hand office equipment. This will allow the circular economy to flourish and in the process reduce carbon emissions from reproduction of office goods
- Goods defect recognition and age estimation using Computer Vision to aid in product misrepresantation or fradulent claims
- Price Prediction using machine learning to help users in determining the fair value of a product
- Create new Account and login for users to create new account or log in with existing account
- View and Buy Allow users to view an item they like and purchase them
- CRUD Operations to allow users to do general ecommerce activities such as adding prdoducts to the platform to sell and searching for products
6 Order History, View History and Wish List to allow users to keep track of their past orders, recently viewed items and items they intend to purchase in the future
As this was a Huawei Cloud Hackathon, product had to be built using Huawei Cloud platform. We experimented with following services to meet judging criteria of scalability and performance
