Feature requests: Emmet or the ability to add snippets, CTRL+Enter behavior

I really enjoy this software for general text editing and light coding.

If possible please add something like Emmet or the ability to add & use snippets to make coding a little bit easier.

I also have a small shortcut request. CTRL+Enter from any col in a line should make a new line below the current one without cutting the text right of the cursor, just like in most code editors.

I'm aware of issue/request #38 , but since there seems no progress on the issue I don't quite understand whether this feature is still currently being implemented or can't be implemented or whether is there a way to enable it externally. I'm sorry if it's a duplicate.

Yeah, no progress. as far as I know, no one is working on it.
