Should be noted in the documentation about sourcing when using brew

When you use homebrew there is a specific source path you need to use in .zshrc in order for it to work. This is non-obvious and can be easily missed in the homebrew printout after the install. This should be noted to make the install documentation better

Thanks for the report. That actually sounds like either a PEBKAC (user didn't read post-install message) or a downstream bug (homebrew should make that message harder to overlook). Having said that, we do cover other downstreams in our docs so we can say something about homebrew as well.

I don't use homebrew myself, however, so I'll leave this issue for a homebrew user to fix. Would you like to suggest a patch?

When using Brew, the command for sourcing the script should be

echo "source $(brew --prefix zsh-syntax-highlighting)/share/zsh-syntax-highlighting/zsh-syntax-highlighting.zsh" >> ${ZDOTDIR:-$HOME}/.zshrc

Enable syntax highlighting in the current interactive shell:

source $(brew --prefix zsh-syntax-highlighting)/share/zsh-syntax-highlighting/zsh-syntax-highlighting.zsh
