Enquiring about Kotlin Rewrite

Is there any plan to rewrite this app in Kotlin? I heard that Kotlin is the future of app development.

Android Studio actually has a feature to auto convert Java code to Kotlin and I tried it and it didn't go well because I don't know what I am doing. I've been 'vibe coding' with some of my newer projects and maybe I could do that to update the program to Kotlin. I may take a look into it at some point but also use a rubbish computer nowadays that probably can't handle Android Studio so it may make the job more difficult. I might experiment at some point. You won't notice any difference with the app if it is done though, if I was going to mess with the code then I'd probably update to make sure it's keeping in line with the Material interface as there has just been an update to Material 3 at Google I/O.

If you don't mind can i create a fork of your app and try to do a complete Kotlin rewrite and do a complete UI rewrite for my personal project?
