Current Limitation

With the introduction of markdown-based prompt editing in wso2/vscode-extensions#893, users can now write prompts using raw markdown in Edit Mode and preview the rendered output in a read-only Preview Mode (shown below). However, the editor currently exposes the full markdown syntax during editing. This can be confusing for integration developers who may not be familiar with markdown and may find the raw formatting distracting or unintuitive.

Suggested Improvement

Introduce a simplified editing mode that fully abstracts away markdown syntax. In this mode, users can format content using the toolbar or familiar keyboard shortcuts (e.g., Cmd+B for bold, Cmd+I for italics) without ever seeing the underlying markdown. This would effectively offer a WYSIWYG-style editing experience, making prompt creation more accessible and user-friendly.
