How to debug autocomplete-tools (filepaths template) ?

Hi there,

I'm trying to troubleshoot this issue: withfig/fig#1958 where fig doesn't show files for most commands. I'd like to change this code to see if it's raising any errors on my machine:

However, I can't find any clues at how I can debug these templates. Can you please provide some guidelines?
