Need help with building (build_init.cmd)

I'm not getting very far. I get a message stating "thirdparty succeeded (22.8s) → tools\thirdparty\bin\Debug32\thirdparty.lib", but then some error about "error MSB8040: Spectre-mitigated libraries are required for this project"

I've spent hours learning and trial and erroring about Spectre but to no avail. Here is a screenshot:

You need to open the Visual Studio installer and select the C++ Spectre Mitigated Libs (Latest) package.

You will also need the .NET Desktop development workload installed to compile the build tools.
