it's 2025 now. idk can I use the pre-built wheel in default environment now and was that bug fixed.

Hi @Clayblockunova, we are still patching the PyGObject wheel due to this upstream bug: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/pygobject/-/issues/545. You can directly pip install pygobject which will build a wheel and link to the GTK provided by PyGObject, but you'll have to run os.add_dll_directory() in your app yourself.
