vmware cloud director

Hi,
I would like to know if this project could be used somehow for getting information from vmware cloud director (vCD) https://www.vmware.com/products/cloud-director.html . It seems that vCD has its own API based on REST API: https://developer.vmware.com/apis/1751/ . I hope that vCD provides some compatibility mode with old APIs. Could it be true?
