DSH Studio — Vite + React UI inside a Tauri desktop supervisor

I built DSH Studio, an MIT-licensed desktop shell for installing and supervising DeepSeek Harness on Windows, macOS, and Linux.

Where Vite fits

• Vite powers the React 19 / TypeScript shell UI and production frontend build.
• The frontend stays deliberately small: launcher, control panel, logs, status, and install progress.
• Tauri IPC connects the Vite UI to a Rust supervisor that owns the child-process lifecycle.
• The upstream harness UI is loaded from its own dynamically assigned local origin rather than bundled or forked.

Runtime behavior

• Detects a compatible Node.js runtime and installs the harness into a private prefix.
• Uses HTTP readiness and health probes, then restarts with backoff when needed.
• Reclaims the complete process tree through Windows Job Objects or Unix process groups.
• Ships through a GitHub Actions matrix for Windows, macOS Intel/Apple Silicon, and Linux.

I would be interested in feedback on keeping the Vite frontend boundary clean while a native supervisor manages a separately served web application.
