You're using File and your class doesn't support
@serializable and Parcelable

This code will crash during serialization (activity lifecycle). Crashes when the application is minimized and returned when rotating

You have to use the wrapper instead of directly.

Currently, PlatformFile doesn't implement Serializable but I'm planning to support it in the future.
