Hi! cockpit-files is just a simple file manager maintained pretty actively by the upstream. I've been using it for a while in my custom image, thought it would be great to just include it in uCore. Feel free to merge it.

The way uCore images are structured, cockpit-files is out of scope for theucore-minimal image.

I could see an argument for it being included in the ucore image given it has more focus on storage solutions vs minimal.

Thoughts?

I agree that putting it in the ucore image is more aligned with its NAS purpose. For my use case, I often use cockpit-files for some quick edits of quadlet config. So both are good for me!

Just to clarify, feel free to include it in the ucore image!
