New built-in adblocker in Firefox

Is it possible to offload some uBlock functionality to that engine, while still maintaining the full set of capabilities ?

What do you mean offload? We are not those projects' devs, ask them.

By offload I mean implementing some functionality using the native adblock engine, while layering the rest on top. And you're not a Firefox dev, the native adblock engine would be just another API, in addition to Manifest V2 so I'm asking if the devs of uBlock have explored this possibility.

Unless we know what exactly those APIs are, there's nothing to explore.

uBO is an extension like all other extensions, it uses APIs from https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Add-ons/WebExtensions

They definitely handle the if condition differently, because !ext_ublock returns true, which is not happen in Brave.
