Funding the development of Bootstrap

"The team work on Bootstrap in their spare time" (for which our respect and thanks - you've helped a lot of people).

Would looking for commercial level funding help, i.e. enough funding to give up the day jobs, or employ developers.

There's over $55,000 USD available in the Bootstrap OpenCollective account. Unfortunately non of it has been spent since March 2022.

There's also Github Sponsors. The monthly income or current balance isn't public from that, so I don't know what's there or if it's being spent.

I'd be happy if they spent some money on anything - pizzas, laptops, small amounts of cash as "thank you" gifts, whatever - just so long as it gets spent on something related to the developers! Obviously if there's contractors available to implement new features that would be great too, but spending the money on anything is better than it just sitting in a non-interest-paying bank account.
