Community found weird deprecation message Which we can't explain. Immich required multiple different storages for different purposes, they can be located in different storages. What's the alternative for new configuration? Single storage for upload and library? That's not suitable. |

New configuration allows both setups. Simple as immich suggests under a single storage, or you can override some paths to differnt locations |

@stavros-k but you marked it as deprecated. Is this option will be removed? Maybe it's better to call it "alternative" or "manual"? |

Why removing it? To add extra complexity if someone's wanting to follow the official documentation? Just mark it as "expert" option and leave it as is. |

The official/recommended (immich) documentation says single directory. *Custom is allowed by both the app and immich. You just have to fill slightly different fields now. |

Custom locations are not the default. If it was recommended, it would be the default. See more info here #893. Reminder that you still have a way to use the "custom location" even when the old configuration option is removed. |
