User can't login (no redirection seems to happen)

Hello,

A lot of users of my app reports me trouble to login into my app.
It seems that the redirection does not occurs to my "custom protocol call back url".

Moved to another Issue (#697)

One thing I also notice is that if you choose the "login with email" on the below screen, you are not redirect to the app after login. Just clicking once on the button and going back to login with email/password fields is broken.

Can you please help me on this issue ?

Hey Jonathan,

Please make sure you have a well formed and only the required information in your redirect URI field in https://trakt.tv/oauth/applications.

The email login should work the same, we're looking into it as well.

I don't think it will help much, if it doesn't redirect, the button won't redirect either. I'm not an expert in the matter, but I think it wouldn't be wise to have a specific button because the Redirect URI contains security sensitive information.

It's already the case , I was using a correct url on the settings page.

Do you still have the issue?

What we've seen our side: some developers have multiple callback URI, the problem is sometimes those callback can fail security checks (e.g: http instead of https,...). Can you double check this isn't your case?

I do still have issue 😓
My app is using this Kind of callback : my app://oauth.com

If I click on login with email once, no redirection to my app occurs.

I'm trying to download the video but I can't it is stuck at 0,02%. I can't start the playback directly either, it's just loading indefinitely 😔

In the mean time, is this issue device specific or does it happen for all your users?
Did you try clearing the cache of the app or the browser that's used for authentication?
Can you also try restarting your device?
And let me know if you use a VPN or other relay/proxy/firewall service that might interfere with the authentication process?

So the video is regarding the "login with email" not redirecting to the correct page. I created another issue for this as it was creating confusion : #697.

The issue seems specific to some users only. I can not reproduce it.

The user did without success. Even tried another browser.

I'm confused, is this issue not the same as the new one you opened? They seem to be the same, the new one seem to have more information though.

This one is independent of the used workflow and happens from time to time to some users. The other one is always reproducible with the given workflow.
