Another request to minimize tabs #239

I know there have been a couple of these questions, but they're from a few years ago now and have been closed. I'd like to ask again if there could be any consideration to include the concept of minimizing a tab. Personally I think the concept mentioned in #110 would be ideal. In other threads it's been suggested to just create a bar on the left or something that you move "minimized" tabs to (like in #77), but in my experience I've not been able to reduce the size enough to suit my needs. Of course, I could be misunderstanding how to apply this concept. If anyone could provide additional elaboration on that, I'd be grateful.
