What are architectures (used for)?

Can someone please do a tech review on the abstracts:

Some thoughts:

• You do not intentionally group hosts by architecture; "groups" are just the result of the fact that each host has exactly one architecture.
• Does Foreman really always create them? Is there a way to influence this via settings to control uploading of facts?
• Facts from Puppet: Can you also collect facts via subscription-manager or Ansible/Salt?
