GUILE 1.8 GC fix

Hi there,

Is TeXmacs still on GUILE 1.8? I fixed a problem in GUILE 1.8's Garbage Collector, and was wondering if I should pursue upstreaming it.

Does this help with TeXmacs' memory usage? hanwen@9b32504.
