Bug: UI doesn't get updated on notification action button

Summary: UI doesn't get updated when the app is open and notification pops up and if user selects any of the option the changes in "red X", "green check", "medicine last taken" are updated only when app is restarted or orientation is changed.

Expected Behaviour: The above mentioned items should be updated at run time not when app is restarted.

Steps to reproduce:

• Set a timer.

• Keep the app open mean while and when the notification pops up select corresponding action.

• You will notice that above mentioned items are not changed.
