I get this message from hcloud-csi-driver

Any ideas how to fix this?

The CSI node uses a link-local IP address. It seems that the pod cannot reach it. Try to see if this is reachable from the node:
curl http://169.254.169.254/hetzner/v1/metadata/instance-id

If this is the case, setting the HostNetwork might help.
Alternatively you could configure your CNI differently so that the link-local address is reachable.
